Knoxville police are searching for a suspect who struck two pedestrians with a van in Northeast Knoxville Sunday night.
Officers said the hit-and-run accident happened at the intersection of Whittle Springs and Coker Avenue at approximately 7:45 p.m.
According to a Knoxville Police Department release, three men were walking a dog on the side of the roadway, when a large white van struck two of them, and fled northbound on Whittle Springs Road.
Emergency responders transported the two victims to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The third pedestrian and the dog were not injured.
Police are still looking for the the white van. One witness reported the vehicle had a piece of wood strapped to its hood.
