Five people were killed in a two car crash that closed a Kentucky highway for hours Monday night.
The accident happened on Highway 25-E in Knox County, Kentucky just after 5 p.m.
31-year-old David Vanderpool of Williamsburg, Kentucky, was traveling northbound and crossed the median, hitting another vehicle head on. All four people in the car he hit were killed.
U.S. 25-E was closed for nearly five hours while the Kentucky State Police investigated the scene of the crash.
