Author Carole Ann Borges talks with Live At Five At Four's Stoney Sharp Tuesday afternoon about her new book.
If Carole Ann Borges tells you she spent six years of her childhood on a boat with her family exploring the Mississippi River, believe her.
The Knoxville author just published a book about the adventure.
Borges' father loaded his family onto a boat in the 1950s. The family of five made stops at many scenic spots along the river where they met interesting characters and faced conflicts which Borges writes about in her book Dreamseeker's Daughter.
She named the memoir after her dad.
"As my father said, as this is true of everybody, there are dream-crushers in this world and there are dream-seekers. He wanted us to know we are the dream-seekers," Borges told Live At Five At Four's Stoney Sharp.

Borges will host a book signing at Union Avenue Books near Market Square in Downtown Knoxville from 2-3 p.m. on February 2.
