A traffic stop turned police chase landed a Johnson City man in jail after officers found marijuana and items association with selling the drug.
Officers said the driver, 24-year-old David Schreck, took off after a narcotics officer tried pulling him over for only having one working headlight.
After a four-mile chase around 2 a.m. Thursday, police said Schreck finally stopped on Highway 11-W.
Officers said Schreck had a bag of marijuana, plastic baggies, a digital ounce/gram scale, a handwritten drug ledger, and $370 in cash that officers believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Schreck also allegedly had a small amount of Clonazepam, a generic version of Klonopin, which is a schedule IV controlled subastance.
Schreck was booked on five charges. A court date was set for February 27th .
