As the price to go to college keeps rising, one local school is cutting its tuition costs.
Hiwassee College in Madisonville is cutting tuition by $6,000 per year. That totals $24,000 in savings for students over four years.
The school says the cuts mean students will have a better opportunity to go to school with as little student loan debt as possible.
The lower tuition rate will go into effect in the fall semester of 2013.
