Human remains discovered in a wooded area of East Knox County have been identified.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office says they belong to man who had been missing since 2011, 58-year-old Robert Benny Thompson.
A teenager found his bones in Kodak on December 21st.
It's still unclear what led up to Thompson's death, but investigators say the cause of death is consistent with a head injury. That investigation is ongoing.
