The Knoxville City Council voted 9-0 to advance candidate Harry Tindell to the general election.
The top two candidates in each district move on to the general election Nov. 7, however; there is a tie in district four. The City Council will decide what comes next for the results in that district.
Registered voters can vote Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at five locations. Early voting lasts through Aug. 24. Voting locations will remain open until 7 p.m. on Aug. 22-24. Saturday hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
