ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A person familiar with the situation says the Amateur Athletic Union is expected to announce mandatory background screening for all adult coaches, volunteers and staff.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the AAU has not publicly announced the findings of an internal investigation. The person did not say how the mandatory screening would be conducted.

However, a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, when the results of a six-month investigation by two task forces are expected to be revealed. The investigation produced a joint 30-page report with recommendations for changes to AAU's polices, protocols and procedures.

AAU commissioned the internal probe last December in the wake of decades-old sex abuse allegations against former president Bobby Dodd. Dodd was never charged with a crime, and his attorney has said he is innocent.
