The South Division All-Stars scored three runs in the second inning and eventually went on to beat the North Division in Tuesday's U.S. Cellular Southern League All-Star Game.

Mobile BayBears starter Tyler Skaggs picked up the win. Chattanooga Lookouts starter Matt Magill is tagged with the loss after giving up three runs.

The North took the lead with a home run from Jackson Generals outfielder Denny Almonte.

But, the South answered quickly, scoring three times in the second and eventually winning 6-2. Outfielder Alfredo Marte of the BayBears took home the Top Star Award, going 2-for-2 with a double and RBI.

Earlier in the night, the Southern League Home Run Derby took place at Smokies Park. Eight all-stars competed to be the Southern League Home Run Champion. Joe Dunigan took home the award after he knocked eight bombs over the fence. Smokies first baseman Justin Bour was the runner-up.
