Lady Vols Head Coach Emeritus Pat Summitt loaned her name to a good cause Monday.
The annual Pat Summitt Golf Tournament teed off Monday morning at Cherokee Country Club.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Helen Ross McNabb Center, which offers social services, substance abuse treatment ans mental health services to low-income patients.
The center says Pat Summitt's involvement is a big help.
"She's been involved in our tournament for 14 years, so we are extremely grateful for everything she does for the McNabb Center. She's a champion on and off the court, obviously. And there's no better name that we could have affiliated with this, with our cause. We're just extremely grateful and thankful to her for that," said Special Events Coordinator Beth Farrow.
Each golfer in the tournament got to take a picture with Pat Summitt.
The center also held a silent auction.
