Donahue swims in the 100-meter butterfly finals

LONDON -- Claire Donahue was seventh in the women's 100-meter butterfly race at the London Games on Sunday night.

Donahue, 23, from Lenoir City, Tenn., finished in 57.48 seconds.

Teammate Dana Vollmer won the gold medal setting a world record of 55.98 seconds, becoming the first woman to go under 56 seconds in the event,

Donahue, a former Western Kentucky University athlete, nearly equaled her personal best of 57.42 seconds, which she set in the semifinals on Saturday night.
