KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Antone Davis, a former All-America offensive tackle at Tennessee, is returning to his old school as the new Vol for Life coordinator on Derek Dooley's football staff.

Davis replaces Andre Lott, who had held the job the last two years. Dooley created the Vol for Life position, which focuses on assisting players in character education, life skills, career development and spiritual growth.

Davis lettered at Tennessee from 1987-90. He earned All-America honors and won the Jacobs Trophy as the Southeastern Conference's top blocker in 1990 and went to the Philadelphia Eagles with the eighth overall pick in the 1991 NFL Draft. Davis played with the Eagles from 1991-95 before spending his final two NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

Davis was also a finalist on NBC's The Biggest Loser.
