It's almost football time in Tennessee!
The Vols kick off their season Friday night against North Carolina State in Atlanta.
After serious struggles last season, the team has high expectation for this year.
The defense struggled last season against power running teams like Georgia, LSU and Alabama. They even struggled with a wide receiver playing quarterback at Kentucky.
When Sal Sunseri joined as defensive coordinator, he brought along the 3-4 defense. It requires a big, run-stopping, block-stuffing lineman in the middle. Enter junior college transfer Daniel McCullers, all 360 pounds of him.
Two other transfers will fill important roles on the line: Maurice Couch and Darrington Sentimore will play either side of McCullers.
The game kicks off at 7:30 pm. It will be televised on ESPNU.
