Lady Vols hoping to advance to Sweet 16 with win over Creighton

The Lady Vols are hoping to advance to the Sweet 16 in the women's NCAA basketball tourney with a win over Creighton Monday night.

The game is set for just after 7:00 pm at Thompson-Boling Arena.  Tickets are available at the arena box office.  It will be televised on ESPN2.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Both enter the game with a 25-7 record. The Jays play in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The #2 seeded Lady Vols advanced to the second round of the tournament with a win Saturday over Oral Roberts, 83-62.  Creighton, the #10 seed, upset Syracuse 61-56.

The winner of the game will advance to the Sweet 16, played in Oklahoma City on March 31.
