A former Vol is facing drug charges in Alabama

Eric Westmoreland, a member of the 1998 National Championship football team, was arrested on Wednesday after a traffic stop on Alabama Hwy 72 in Hollywood, AL.

A drug dog alerted on the vehicle, and officers found the drugs Oxycodone, Phendimetrazine and Acyclovir.

Westmoreland, 38, who now lives in Chattanooga, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances.  He was released on $3,500 bond.

Four others in the vehicle were also arrested: Samantha Anderson, 37 of Stevenson, AL. was charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances; Tabitha Phillips, 24, of Stevenson, AL. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances and Illegal Possession of Prescription Medications; Robert Robinson, 22, of Stevenson, AL. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances;  Dan Smith, 50, of Stevenson, AL. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances.
