On Tuesday afternoon, it appeared senior wide receiver Kenny Bell's playing days at Alabama were over following a string of posts released from his Twitter account.

"I've made so many memories here @ Alabama but some things you gotta let go," he tweeted Tuesday. "...it's been a nice run but I'm hanging up my cleats."

However Alabama coach Nick Saban said later Tuesday that Bill had not officially parted from the team, saying he gave the receiver a "personal day" and that he expected him to be back at practice Wednesday.

"Sometimes we have personal things that we need to get ironed out," Saban said. "He had a day today to do that."

Then Bell returned to Twitter Tuesday night to say he's back on the team, tweeting: "I'm back with the team!! Just needed time to myself for a day but I couldn't leave my boy @10AJMcCarron we ended this run together. #16"

Saban also said he spoke to Bell's mother about the wide receiver's future.

"I want Kenny to be happy," he said. "I'd love for him to be a part of the team if he can be happy doing that relative to any other personal responsibilities he has."

Bell, who participated at Monday's practice according to AL.com, played Saturday in the Crimson Tide's 35-10 win against Virginia Tech but didn't catch a pass. In 2012, Bell had 17 receptions for 431 yards and three touchdowns. He was one of AJ McCarron's favorite deep targets. He didn't play in the SEC or national championship games after breaking his leg against Auburn.
