For the third year in a row, the Knoxville Challenger League took over Lindsey Nelson Stadium to play with the Vols.
"Sometimes they're left out of intramural sports or playground sports or just playing in the neighborhood with their friends," said Knoxville Challenger League chairman, Nic Arning. "This is the highlight of our program, getting to play with the big boys."
The Knoxville Challenger League gives kids with special needs a chance to get out and play sports. It's not just baseball. They have basketball, golf, bowling and swimming teams.
Wednesday, the kids were out on the diamond with the Tennessee baseball team.
"You really understand what's important in life and you know these kids, it means the world to them," said Vols pitcher Dalton Saberhagen.
The league caters to athletes from ages 5 to 35. There is also a senior league.
