Caden Harbin, Sam Frazier voted PrepXtra players of the week

The senior quarterback from Halls accounted for six touchdowns in his team's win over Heritage in Week 11.

Two high school football players stood out to voters in the PrepXtra poll to earn Player of the Week honors.

Halls senior quarterback Caden Harbin was deemed the PrepXtra Offensive Player of the Week after a six-touchdown performance in the Red Devils' 47-34 win over Heritage last Friday.

Harbin completed 16-20 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried the rock for 82 yards and two scores.

Harbin, a team captain, said his ability to keep defenses on their toes aided in his performance.

"It's hard for defenses to respect everything (I can do)," Harbin said. "If I roll out, they don't know whether I'm going to run the ball or pass it, so I just take whatever they give me."

The Red Devils will host Daniel Boone in the first round of the 5A state playoffs Friday night at 7 p.m.

The Karns football team was facing a possible winless season until the Beavers knocked off Lenoir City 22-16 the final game of the season.

Beavers senior linebacker Sam Frazier played a significant role in securing the win. Frazier's 14 tackles and one forced fumble earned him the PrepXtra Defensive Player of the Week honor with over 46 percent of votes.

He realized he was going to have a big game before kickoff.

"I knew for a fact we were going to lay it on the line and were going to give everything we had," Frazier said.
