The Tennessee softball team was down 3-1 in the top of the fourth inning on Monday against Alabama when lightning struck and the game was later canceled.
A loss would have broken their 18-game winning streak. But what could have been, we'll never know.
The Vols escaped the series against the Crimson Tide with their winning streak still in tact.
Although that's impressive, the team isn't even thinking about it.
"This is a cliché, but it's true," said Weekly. "I tell our team, if i tell you you have to win this game you probably won't play as well. I tell you you have to play against your own best self. That's my message to them. If they go out and play against their own best self they're going to be successful."
The Vols are in Baton Rouge this weekend taking on No. 16 LSU in a three-game series. followed by Florida at home and Texas A&M in College Station.
