Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Dylon Cormier put in 19 points to lead the
Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds to a 65-53 win over the Towson Tigers at Reitz
Arena.
Cormier also brought down eight rebounds and handed out four assists for
Loyola-Maryland (6-1). Robert Olson added 15 points on a 5-of-9 showing
from 3-point range. The Greyhounds have won five straight.
Jerome Hairston paced Towson (3-3) with 13 points. No other player was in
double figures.
In the first half Loyola-Maryland shot just 35.9 percent but hit on 4-of-11
shots from beyond the arc. With Towson shooting just 26.7 percent and missing
on all six of its 3-point attempts, the Greyhounds led 36-26 at the break.
Loyola-Maryland led by as many as 17 points in the second half despite
knocking down only 10-of-30 shots.
Towson had more than twice as many turnovers as Loyola-Maryland (15-7).
