Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - C.J. Wilcox scored a game-high 27 points as the
Washington Huskies posted a 66-61 win over the Saint Louis Billikens in a non-
conference matchup at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Wilcox shot 11-of-13 from the floor for the Huskies (3-3), including 4-of-5
behind the three-point line as the squad snapped a two-game slide. Abdul Gaddy
added 16 points and Aziz N'Diaye posted 14 points and a game-high eight
rebounds.
The Billikens (3-3) were paced by Cody Ellis who tallied 14 points off the
bench, followed by Rob Loe with 13 and Mike McCall and Jordair Jett with 11
points apiece as the team suffered a second loss in the last three outings.
Saint Louis led by as many as six points in the first half, but the squad shot
only 3-of-10 behind the three-point line in the period which allowed the
Huskies to knot the score at 29-29 at the break.
In the second half the hosts began to pull away as they made good on a
sizzling 63.6 percent from the floor.
Washington, which didn't get a single point from the reserves, survived
despite shooting only 12-of-22 at the charity stripe.
