Auburn, AL (Sports Network) - Chris Denson finished with 20 points as the
Auburn Tigers routed the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 81-62, in a non-
conference game at Auburn Arena.
Jordan Price added 12 points and Josh Wallace chipped in 11 points and seven
assists for Auburn (5-5) which has won four straight. Price nailed all three
of his attempts from 3-point range and has now hit 11 straight shots from
beyond the arc.
Jud Dillard paced Tennessee Tech (6-5) with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Dennis Ogbe had 14 points and seven rebounds as well for the Golden Eagles
who had won three of their previous four games.
Auburn led 38-21 at halftime despite shooting just 37.9 percent from the
field by limiting Tennessee Tech to 28.1 percent shooting while outscoring
the Golden Eagles from beyond the arc (12-0) and the free throw line (12-3).
The second half was more of the same as the Tigers hit 50.0 percent of their
field goal attempts and outscored the Golden Eagles 18-8 from the charity
stripe.
The Tigers had a 30-11 edge in points from the free throw line and a 21-3
advantage from beyond the arc.
