Fort Collins, CO (Sports Network) - Pierce Hornung posted a double-double with
23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Colorado State Rams over the Boise State
Broncos, 77-57, in a Mountain West Conference bout at Moby Arena.
Dorian Green added 12 points and Wes Eikmeier finished with 10 points for the
Rams (17-4, 4-2 MWC), who have won four of five.
Mikey Thompson led the Broncos (14-6, 2-4) with 13 points, while Anthony Drmic
chipped in with 12 points.
The Rams shot 40.7 percent from the field in the first half and they finished
the frame on a 14-3 run to take a 33-20 lead into halftime. Boise State made
just 7-of-21 from the field (.333) prior to intermission.
CSU led by double-digits for the entire second half, pushing its advantage to
as many as 26 points, as its coasted to its 25th-straight win at Moby Arena.
Boise State committed just 12 turnovers, but CSU took even better care of the
basketball with only five miscues.
