Greenville, SC (Sports Network) - Sebastian Koch scored 19 points, shooting a
perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, as the Elon Phoenix posted a 64-60 win over the
Furman Paladins in Southern Conference action at Timmons Arena.
Also scoring in double figures for Elon (15-8, 8-3 SoCon) were Ryley Beaumont
and Tanner Samson with 15 and 13 points, respectively, as the team won for the
eighth time in the last nine outings.
The Paladins (6-15, 3-7) were paced by Colin Reddick who registered a double-
double consisting of 22 points and 11 rebounds, but still the team suffered a
third consecutive setback. Charlie Reddick dropped in 11 points and Stephen
Croone 10 in the losing effort.
Colin Reddick scored 10 points in the first half for Furman, the team shooting
51.7 percent from the field, en route to a 33-29 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Phoenix battled back with 52.2 percent accuracy from
the floor and 10-of-11 at the free-throw line, grabbing the four-point win in
the end.
The Paladins finished the day shooting only 3-of-12 beyond the arc in the
meeting.
