The Volunteers will hit the field surrounded by a sold-out stadium for the season opener against Utah State Sunday night.
Tennessee Football's official twitter announced the news Thursday afternoon.
This is the first opener sellout since 2007, which was during the Phillip Fulmer era. This year, Vol Nation swept up 102,455 tickets.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. in Neyland Stadium on Sunday. You can watch it on the SEC Network.
This season, Tennessee will play seven games at home and five on the road.
