Vols fall to Ducks, 59 to 14

(WBIR - Eugene, OR.) After a promising start to the first quarter with the Vols getting on the board first, the Ducks would respond and showed why they are the No. 2 ranked team in the country.

UT lead the game 7-0 after quarterback Justin Worley found Jason Croom for a 4-yard pass in the corner of the end zone for the touchdown with 9 minutes left in the first quarter.

After that, it was all the Ducks.

Oregon would go on to score 59 unanswered points until Tennessee's Alden Hill would run the ball in for a touchdown with 7:14 left in the game.
The Ducks would go on to win by a score of 59 to 14.

The Vols played without Sr. defensive lineman Maurice Couch who was ruled ineligible as the school investigates allegations that he received improper benefits.

Next week, the Vols head to Gainesville, Florida to face the Gators (1-1). Kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
