It's a game some fans have dreamed about for years.
In just three seasons, the University of Tennessee Volunteers will play football in front of a potentially huge crowd.
A source close to the situation tells WBIR that the Vols and the Virginia Tech Hokies will face off at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2016.
The Associated Press reports the game would occur in September of that year.
The official announcement is expected to come Monday morning at the speedway.
The speedway holds 150,000. The attendance record for college football is 115,109, set last month at Michigan Stadium for the Michigan-Notre Dame game.
