Tyndall adds another recruit to the Vols basketball roster

Donnie Tyndall took over the Vols basketball team on April 22, and in less than a month has signed, or is close to signing, 5 recruits.

Tennessee officially signed JUCO guard Devon Baulkman on Tuesday. Baulkman is 6-foot-5, 200 pounds and from Bainbridge, Ga. He played two years at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL.

Baulkman will be a junior and is eligible immediately for two years. He plans to attend UT this summer.

As a sophomore in 2013-14, Baulkman averaged 15.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game, earning his second-straight All-Panhandle Conference honors.

On Feb. 1, he set the school scoring record, pouring in 48 points in a 87-85 win over NW Florida State.

He originally signed to play for Tyndall at Southern Miss, but was granted a release when Tyndall left for Tennessee.

Baulkman was a two-time Region 1AAAA Player of the Year at Bainbridge High School, and was a two-time Albany Herald Super 6 selection.

He was named first-team All-State by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution his senior year in 2010-11.

Tyndall has signed forward Jabari McGhee, along with guards Detrick Mostella and Kevin Punter.

Forward Eric McKnight is expected to sign soon.
