The Vols basketball team will play their SEC home opener Saturday against TexasA&M. Friday night, UT is inviting students to a pep rally at the arena to get the time fired up.
The event runs from 9 pm to midnight at Thompson-Boling Arena, and will feature free food, entertainment, and door prizes.
The basketball team, along with the Pride of the Southland pep band and spirit squad will welcome the students through the gates. The first 250 students to arrive will win a free t-shirt. Everyone who stays until the end will get a wrist band for early admission to the game. Eight lucky students will win front-row seats courtesy of Coke Zero.
The Vols will address the crowd around 9:30 p.m.
The pep rally also will feature locker room tours, promotions and contests on the court.
