Vols baseball hosts Challenger League

Kids and young adults with special needs from the Knoxville Challenger League took on the Vols baseball team at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The Knoxville Challenger League gives kids and young adults with special needs the opportunity to play sports in a comfortable setting.

Monday, they made lifelong memories when they took on the Vols at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Each player on the Challengers got a hit and scored a run.

It was a special night for Vol baseball's Martin family.

Senior pitcher Hunter Martin has a brother, Casey, with special needs. Casey played on the Vols team, leading off and wearing the Power T. Martin and his dad were proud to watch as Casey drove the ball up the middle and ran around the bases for a home run.
