The Tennessee men's basketball team is on their way to Indianapolis for a Sweet 16 showdown with #2 seed Michigan.

The game will be at 7:15 p.m. Friday night on CBS. That is the third anniversary of the day Cuonzo Martin was introduced as the Vols' new head coach in 2011.

The players, coaches, and support staff loaded a bus Wednesday afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena. From there, they are headed to McGhee Tyson Airport for a flight to Indy.

Dozens of orange-clad fans showed up to give the team a send-off, singing Rocky Top and It's Great to be a Tennessee Vol as the players boarded the bus. Some of them stopped to sign autographs for the Big Orange faithful.

This will be Tennessee's seventh all-time Sweet Sixteen appearance and its fourth in eight seasons (1967, 1981, 2000, 2007, 2008, 2010). The Vols have advanced to the Elite 8 only once, in 2010 under former coach Bruce Pearl.

After an overtime victory over Iowa in a play-in game, the Vols have been cruising, with pretty easy victories over UMass and Mercer.

Michigan may provide a tougher test Friday night, but the Vols are playing their best basketball of the season, and are confident they can get a win, and keep rolling in the NCAA Tournament.
