Vols move up to No. 17 in College Football Playoff rankings

Wes Rucker, Jayson Swain and Patrick Murray talk about the potential bowl destinations for the Vols.

Tennessee moved up two spots in the College Football Playoff rankings, jumping from No. 19 to No. 17 after a 63-37 win over Missouri.

LSU and Texas A&M dropped out of the rankings. Auburn gained two spots from No. 15 to No. 13 after its 55-0 win over Alabama A&M.

Florida moved up from No. 23 to No. 15 after beating LSU in Baton Rouge, 16-10.

Assuming the SEC Champion goes to the College Football Playoff, Tennessee can earn a Sugar Bowl bid if it is the second highest ranked SEC team at the end of the season.

Right now, Auburn, Florida and Alabama are ahead of the Vols in the CFP rankings.

It looks like Tennessee, on top of beating Vanderbilt, would need Alabama to beat both Auburn and Florida and have the Gators lose to Florida State to get to the Sugar Bowl.

Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and Clemson are the top four, in order, in this week's rankings.
