Vols take series from Gators for first time since 2008

For the first time since 2007, Tennessee baseball won a series in Gainesville. It also marked the Vols first series win over Florida since 2008.

Tennessee baseball took the series from the no. 7 Florida Gators on Saturday with a 3-2 win in ten innings.

The Vols beat Florida 7-6 in ten on Friday. It's the first time Tennessee has won a series over Florida since 2008.

Benito Santiago had the game-winning RBI on a double to left-center to score Justin Ammons in the tenth.

Jon Lipinski (3-0, 0.60 ERA) tossed two scoreless innings to pick up the win, working out of a bases loaded jam in the ninth.

The senior closer has allowed only one run and seven hits in 15 innings pitched this season.

Tennessee will go for the sweep on Sunday at 1 o'clock on SEC Network.
