Lady Vols debut in SEC tournament Friday evening

The Lady Vols kick off post-season play Friday evening as they enter the SEC tournament as the #2 seed.

Tennessee, ranked 6th in the country, will play LSU at 6 pm at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia. The game will be televised on Fox SportSouth.

LSU is the #10 seed, and reached the quarterfinal round by defeating #7 seed Alabama Thursday night. The Lady Vols received a first round bye.

Tennessee enters the tournament with four straight wins, and 10 out of its last 11. LSU started the SEC Tournament with a six-game losing streak and had dropped seven of its last eight before defeating Alabama.

In the regular season, the Lady Vols lost to LSU at home 80-77, but defeated the Tigers 72-67 in Baton Rouge.

The winner of this game will go on to play the winner of Auburn vs. Texas A&M on Saturday at 2:30 pm. That game will be on ESPNU.

The SEC championship game will be Sunday at 3:30 pm on ESPN.
