Rivals Farragut (3-1) and Bearden (2-2) met on the gridiron for the 45th consecutive season Thursday night. The Admirals entered the game on a three-game winning streak against the Bulldogs.
Bearden got off to a quick start to take an early 14-0 lead. Bearden quarterback Collin Ironside found Jordan Ferguson for a touchdown score to increase Bearden's lead to 20 in the second quarter.
But Farragut would storm back. Admirals' quarterback Adam Fulton hit Davis Simmons in stride to pull Farragut within six points. The Admirals erase a 20-point deficit and defeat Bearden, 28-27.
Kingston (2-2) hosted Rockwood (1-2) for their third consecutive home game this season. The Yellow Jackets took a 7-0 lead after Brandon Plemens faked the hand off and pitched the pigskin to Matt Spellman for a 30-yard score.
The Tigers scored on a touchdown pass from Trey Treadway to Lucas McDermott to cut their deficit to eight. Kingston would slow down the Tigers' momentum and tack on another touchdown eight seconds before halftime. The Yellow Jackets cruise through the second half and defeat Rockwood, 35-14.
