Former Braves to play golf in Knoxville

Knoxville, Tenn - Most baseball teams are in spring training right now, but come summertime, America's pastime comes to life.
In May, members of the 1995 Atlanta Braves World Series Championship Team will be swinging for the greens in Tennessee. The Braves Alumni Tournament will take place at the four-star rated, Avalon Golf Course.
The Braves Alumni Association helps more than 90 charities in the greater Atlanta area and the giving does not stop there. Some of the proceeds will go to Fostering Hope TN to help support, advocate, and promote improved foster and adoptive care for children in the state's custody.
If you would like to play golf with some of the Braves alumni, the sponsorship package might be the way to go. If you just want to be out on the greens and play, come on! It is $120.00 to play in the tourney.

Sponsorship teams get the following for $5,000:
• 4 players in the tournament
• you get to golf with one of the Braves alumni
• a personal behind the scenes tour of Turner Field with a former Braves player
• 4 tickets to the alumni suite *except the Red Sox
• plus more…if you are interested, email Visit Knoxville at

The former players attending will be announced at a later date. The actual date of the tournament is May 5, 2014.
