Fulton playing for more than a trophy

Fulton High School had a phenomenal 2013 football season. Head Coach Rob Black led the Falcons to back-to-back state championship titles. This past season was also the first time that Fulton finished a season 15-0 in school's history.

The Falcon's defense made big plays to give the offense the ball, and when the offense got a hold of the rock they were unstoppable. The explosive offense racked up almost 900 points this season, which added up to be the 4th highest points scored in a single season nationally of all-time in high school football.

Although, this season was not all about the numbers, wins, or titles. The Falcon's had a more emotional and powerful drive pushing them to play at a level no one saw coming. This powerhouse goes by the name of Dean Thornhill, or as the team calls him, Deano.

Deano received life changing news at the beginning of fall camp, and ever since not only has his life been changed but so have the lives of each of the players. Deano has not missed one practice or game since 1999, and has a story none will want to miss.
