Greater Knoxville Sports HOF announces honorees

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ― The Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame will continue its tradition of honoring the area's finest athletes at the dinner and induction ceremony on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Knoxville Convention Center. Former Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton will serve as the featured speaker. Tickets for the event are $150 each and can be purchased online at All proceeds from the event go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley.

In addition to the Greater Knoxville Hall of Fame's Class of 2014, the Hall of Fame will recognize the Female and Male High School Athletes of the Year:

Anna Catherine Feaster (Webb) - Female High School Athlete of the Year

Allison Hodge (Grainger High School) - Female High School Athlete of the Year

Sophia Schubert (CAK) –Female High School Athlete of the Year

Xavier Hawkins (Fulton) – Male High School Athlete of the Yea

Todd Kelly Jr. (Webb) – Male High School Athlete of the Year
