Two weeks remain in the high school football season. Here's a look at some of this year's playoff possibilities:
*Moving On: Maryville, Bearden, Bradley Central, Dobyns-Bennett, Hardin Valley, Jefferson County, Science Hill, William Blount
What's at Stake: Maryville, after beating Bradley Central on Thursday, clinches the region title if Hardin Valley loses to William Blount on Friday. Should HVA win, the region champion will be the winner of their game on Oct. 28, with the loser earning the No. 2 seed. ... Bradley Central likely is the No. 3. seed. ... HVA could fall as far as the No. 4 seed if it finishes 0-2 and Dobyns-Bennett beats Jefferson County and Science Hill in the final two weeks. D-B then would be No. 3 and Bradley No. 2 as long as the Bears beat William Blount on Oct. 28. ... Bearden still can earn the No. 4 seed if it beats Science Hill (Friday) and Jefferson County (Oct.28) and Dobyns-Bennett goes 0-2. ... Science Hill gets the No. 4 seed if it beats Bearden on Friday and Dobyns-Bennett on Oct. 28. ... Jefferson County will be No. 4 if it finishes 2-0 and Science Hill goes 0-2. ... William Blount can be as high as No. 5 if and Dobyns-Bennett finish 2-0, Science Hill goes 0-2 and Jefferson County and Bearden go 1-1.
*All Class 6A teams advance to playoffs.
