West and Alcoa make appearance in day 2 of state finals

Tonight Webb had the first chance to bring back a State Championship title. They won over St. George's 28-14. Tomorrow two more Knoxville teams will get their chance as West faces Henry County and Alcoa faces CPA.

West will have their biggest challenge as they face Henry County. Henry County is undefeated and has a strong run game. Both teams are almost even in the average number of points they put up per game; West averaging about 42 points a game while Henry County is averaging 39 points per game. The offense and defense are going to match up well, but Henry County's offense will have their challenge made for them against a powerful West defense. The Rebel's defense has made key stops and big plays all season. Only two of West's games were all of their points scored by the offense.

Alcoa has been killing teams in the playoffs to reach this point. Last week they won 75-18 over Upperman. This week, the championship is going to be no different as they face CPA from Nashville. Alcoa's starters have not even seen a full game in the playoffs due to their significant lead going into the half forcing a running clock. CPA is undefeated but they are going to end their last game with a loss.
