What does the final week of regular season look like?

William Blount will host Bearden for the USA Today High School Game of the Week on 10News2. Both of these two teams have had rough seasons, only collecting two wins each. William Blount's offense has put up more points than Bearden so the Bulldog's defense will have to be ready to put a stop to the action, but this should play out to be a good game. At the end of the night, one of these two teams will be able to walk away with a feeling neither is used to, a feeling of pride from a win.

It is only right that these two undefeated teams save this rivalry to each of their last games of the season. Fulton will host Carter for Week 10 of high school football. Fulton is a power house as everyone around this area knows. Carter will give the Falcons their best run, but this game will not even be close. Fulton will pull through as they do every other week with a big win.

In the final week Campbell County will travel to Powell. Powell has had a winning season, but the Cougars have had an outstanding season. Campbell County has only suffered one loss and looks like it should remain that way for them even after this final week.

Central will have a tough battle this week as they host Gibbs. The War Eagle's defense has stepped up tremendously the past couple weeks. Hunter Lane, a linebacker for Gibbs, has been nominated twice for his defensive accomplishments. Central's offense is stronger than Gibbs, but it is inconsistent depending on who they play. The Bobcats will have to come prepared to face the strong defense of Gibbs that has shown up late in the regular season.

Private meets public in Week 10 at Alcoa who will host Catholic. Alcoa has dominated each of their opponents, despite Maryville at the beginning of the season. However, Catholic is not an easy team to beat and they will be ready to play after a tough loss last Thursday to Webb. Alcoa's record is a one game difference from the Fighting Irish, but Catholic will put up a fight this week to challenge and even it out to the Tornadoes almost polished record.

South Doyle will face a tough matchup at home against Sevier County. Sevier County has proven all season to be a strong team with an 8-1 record. The Smoky Bears will make a challenge for the Cherokees since they both have strong offenses. Although, Sevier County has an edge over South Doyle and that will put them ahead to come out with the win Friday night.

Undefeated Maryville will be traveling to Farragut for their last district game. Farragut is on a four game win streak, but it will not be enough to break the polished record the Rebels have created. The Admirals will go into this game feeling strong, but the Rebels are unstoppable and will revolt big against Farragut in the last week of the regular season.

West will host Lenoir City for Week 10 of The Blitz. The Rebels have only suffered one loss to Maryville at the beginning of the season. Lenoir City on the other hand has fallen to four different teams. This last week of the regular season does not look like it will fall in the favor of the Panthers. Lenoir City's defense will have to step up big to limit the West offense if they stand a chance to pull off the upset.

There will be a strong offensive matchup at Grace who will host Rockwood. Grace is currently undefeated and destroying each team that they play. Rockwood does not need to be taken lightly though. The Tiger's only two losses have been by one point each. They will give the Rams a run for their money, but Grace will come through with a perfect record in the regular season.
