Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Cleveland Cavaliers forward Omri Casspi
had his appendix removed on Saturday night after experiencing abdominal pain
prior to the team's game in Orlando.
Casspi was unable to suit up for the contest against the Magic and instead was
taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with acute
appendicitis. He stayed overnight and will be re-evaluated later on Sunday.
The 6-foot-9 Israeli has averaged 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game
over 29 contests this season.
