New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Kevin Garnett will play for the Boston
Celtics when the team begins a three-game road trip with Wednesday's visit to
the New Orleans Hornets.
Garnett sat out Boston's last two contests due to an adductor strain in
his left thigh as well as a bout with the flu. The veteran center did
accompany the Celtics as they departed for their upcoming trek, however, and
has been cleared to go for Wednesday's tilt.
The 36-year-old, who saw only a combined 41 minutes of time over his two most
recent appearances due to the leg injury, is averaging 14.8 points and 7.8
rebounds per game this season.
Boston split its two outings without Garnett, defeating Charlotte on Saturday
and dropping a 105-103 decision to red-hot Miami on Monday.
