Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Briann January posted a career-high 22 points
and the Indiana Fever topped the Phoenix Mercury, 85-72, Saturday night.
Katie Douglas added 16 points, while Jessica Davenport and Tamika Catchings
both scored 12 for the Fever, who are 4-1 since the Olympic break. Erin
Phillips had 10 points and six rebounds.
Diana Taurasi, who missed Thursday's loss to the New York Liberty, had 19
points, but the Mercury lost their 10th in a row. DeWanna Bonner had 14 points
and nine rebounds, and Alexis Hornbuckle scored 12 in defeat.
The Fever took a five-point lead into the final quarter, but increased that
advantage to as high as 22 on Phillips' 3-pointer with 5:07 left.
