The Knoxville Ice Bears have released their schedule for the 2011-2012 season.
The schedule was changed this year to have the Ice Bears play more games with teams closer to Knoxville with fewer long road trips back and forth to teams further away.

The Knoxville Ice Bears have released the 2011-2012 schedule.
The Knoxville Ice Bears will kick off their 10th Anniversary Season on Friday, October 21st by welcoming the defending SPHL President's Cup Champions, Mississippi Surge.
The schedule was created with the idea of playing teams closer to Knoxville five times at home and five on the road. Teams with greater travel will travel to Knoxville two times with the Ice Bears traveling down south two times. While the schedule did not completely conform to the format, the SPHL League office made their greatest attempt in holding to the format.
The newly released schedule will provide a well rounded visit from traditional rivals such as Huntsville (4 Home; 4 Away) and Fayetteville (5 Home; 5 Away). The newest member of the SPHL, Mississippi RiverKings (5 Home; 5 Away) will become very familiar with the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
The Ice Bears will also play Mississippi Surge (2 Home; 1 Away), Augusta RiverHawks (5 Home; 4 Away), Pensacola Ice Flyers (1 Home; 2 Away), Louisiana IceGators (2 Home; 2 Away) and Columbus Cottonmouths (4 Home; 4 Away).
