Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks began a new winning
streak Saturday with an 8-1 thrashing of the Dallas Stars at American Airlines
Center.
Chicago captain Jonathan Toews had two goals and an assist, Marian Hossa
lit the lamp twice and Patrick Kane registered a goal and two helpers in the
rout.
The Blackhawks had dropped two in a row following their NHL-record 24-game
point streak to start the season. After allowing six goals in setbacks to
Colorado and Edmonton, they clamped down defensively in Thursday's 2-1
shootout win over Columbus.
Trevor Daley provided the lone goal in Dallas' fourth consecutive loss.
