Niklas Backstrom stopped 36 pucks as the Minnesota Wild downed Detroit, 4-2,
at Joe Louis Arena.
Mikko Koivu and Kyle Brodziak also tallied and Pierre-Marc Bouchard added two
assists for the Wild, who have won four in a row and six of their last seven.
Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller supplied the offense for the Red Wings, who
have lost four of six after their two-game win streak
was halted.
Jimmy Howard allowed all four goals on just 19 shots in defeat.
