It was a rainy day in Knoxville on November 23rd, 1992. The dreary state matched the events in Knoxville. This game against Kentucky would be head coach Johnny Majors' last game in Neyland.
The Vols would not disappoint.
Quarterback Heath Shuler would have a good day, running for a score from the goal line early on.
Running back Charlie Garner would add a touchdown of his own. Garner would lead the Vols that year in rushing yards, with just under 1,000. This, however, was one of only two touchdowns for him in the '92 season.
Tennessee would beat up on the Wildcats, sending Coach Majors out on a high note. The final score, 34-14. The Vols would finish the season 9-3, 5-3 in the SEC with a win over Boston College in the Hall of Fame Bowl.
