Greenback running back Kayne Roberts tallied nearly 54 percent of votes to become the PrepXtra Offensive Player of the Week.
The senior racked up 249 yards on the ground for five touchdowns on just 17 carries en route to the Cherokees' 48-10 win over Oneida.
"Mainly going into that game, we were wanting to show that the running back squad could get a lot of yards so that's what we did, " said Roberts.
He's not taking all of the credit for his performance, though.
"That's just the [offensive] line doing a good job blocking," Roberts said. "I just do my job. They do their job. Together, that pulls out a win like we had."
Catholic's Jeffery Wood was voted the PrepXtra Defensive Player of the Week after recording two interceptions and returning one of them 32 yards for a touchdown in the Fighting Irish's 49-19 win over Central.
The senior defensive back also tallied seven tackles, one TFL and four pass breakups.
Wood credits the keys to the game he writes on the tape on his wrists for his dominating performance.
"My dad tells me to write down on my tape," Wood said. "I have four keys that I write down so that helps me remember what I need to be doing because sometimes you get so caught up in a game that you lose what you're supposed to be doing."
"It just helps me get better and better. Since I did this, it just makes it to where I have to do even better or just as good as last week for the rest of the year."
Wood, a Chattanooga commit, has worked at football camps across the country to improve his game. Footwork and ball-handling skills have been among his priorities,a nd it's something Catholic head coach Steve Matthews has noticed.
"He continually keeps getting better," Matthews said. "I think really finding the ball in practice has helped and working on his hands."
Getting the ball in Woods' hands on defense proved to be a big factor for the Irish offense.
"Both of his interceptions took place in our area where we could get the ball back," Matthews said. "And when we get the ball back and in scoring opportunities, it's really been huge for us."
