The wait is over. The Tennessee Valley Fair is back with fun for the whole family. The fair starts on Friday and runs through next week. Admission for adults is set at $9 which gets you in till the fair shuts down at midnight.
WDVX always has good music and Friday night is no different. Head to Market Square to check out the World Class Bluegrass show. Artists include the Lonesome River Band, Rocky Branch and the Grassroots Gringos. Show starts at 6pm.
Set your way-back machine to the early 90s and you may remember a band called The Breeders. If you missed them then you can catch them Friday at the Bijou Theatre. Tickets are $28. Show starts at 8pm.
The Vols are still at home this week. Butch Jones led an impressive unit against Austin Peay and looks to keep things going Saturday against the Western Kentucky Wildcats. Kick off is at 12:21pm.
On Saturday, the Bijou Theatre is back in action with Moon Taxi. These Nashville natives always bring the crowd to their feet. Tickets are $21.50 if you get them at the door. Show starts at 9pm.
It will be a hot night of swing when The Streamliners hit the stage at the Relix Theater Saturday night. You'll here classics from Louie Prima, Count Basie and many more. Tickets are $15. show starts at 7pm.
Contemporary bluegrass master Ricky Skaggs will headline Saturday night at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville. If you know bluegrass, you know Ricky and you know you won't want to miss it. Tickets start at $18.50. Show starts at 8pm.
The Shed is outside and always jumping. This weekend's performer is Whitey Morgan and the 78s with Zach Ryan and the Renegades. It's a full does of old-school throwback country. All ages are welcome. Show starts at 8pm.
